Pickup truck sustains heavy damage from deer accident

A two-vehicle accident in Wisconsin involving a deer caused significant damage to a pickup truck on December 30.

The driver of the pickup was behind a Ford Taurus on Highway 28/67 when the car hit a deer, sending it airborne and causing it to hit the pickup. The truck sustained heavy damage to the front, windshield, and interior. The pickup driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Women’s car insurance rate nine percent lower than men’s

The national median for women’s car insurance was found to be nine percent lower than men’s car insurance, according to an online insurance comparison provider.

The rates for women for a six-month policy is $698 and for men it is $765. There is not enough evidence to know whether it is the fact the women shop more carefully for their insurance and the policy they have or if insurance companies see large differences in the genders.

There are several differences on the driving records of the genders that may have something to do with how they are covered. For example, women are 50 percent less likely to have a DUI or DWI on their driving record and 10 percent less likely to having a moving violation on their record.
